What I Do Not Offer
Massage therapy is for relaxation and therapeutic purposes only. There is absolutely no sexual component to massage whatsoever. Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in immediate termination of your session and a refusal of any and all services in the future. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited we may also file a report with the local authorities if necessary. Treat your therapist with respect and dignity and you will be treated the same in return.
Massage Etiquette and Policies.
Massage etiquette refers to the guidelines and manners that clients and massage therapists should follow to ensure a comfortable and respectful experience. Here are points of massage etiquette:
1. **Punctuality**: Arrive on time for your appointment. Being late may result in a shortened session, as the therapist may have other clients scheduled after you.
2. **Hygiene**: Ensure you are clean and free of strong odors before your massage. Good personal hygiene is essential.
3. Communication**: Communicate openly with your therapist. Share any medical conditions, injuries, or specific concerns you have, as well as your preferences for pressure, areas to focus on, or areas to avoid.
4. **Undressing**: Undress to your comfort level. You will be properly draped during the massage to maintain your privacy.
5. **Silence**: During your massage session, you are welcome to engage in conversation if you feel comfortable doing so. However, please keep in mind that talking may divert your attention from the full relaxation experience that our massage is designed to provide. We want to ensure that your time on the table is as restful and rejuvenating as possible.
6. Mobile Devices: Turn off or silence your mobile phone to avoid disruptions during the session.
7. **Tipping**: Tipping is customary and appreciated. It's typically 15-20% of the massage cost, but the exact amount is at your discretion.
8. **Respect Boundaries**: Respect the boundaries of your therapist. They are there to provide a professional service, and any inappropriate behavior or advances are not acceptable.
9. **Relax and Breathe**: Focus on relaxation during the massage. Take deep, slow breaths to help your body relax further.
10. **Feedback**: Feel free to provide feedback to your therapist during the massage. If the pressure is too light or too firm, or if you experience discomfort, let them know so they can adjust accordingly.
11. **Aftercare**: After the massage, take your time getting up and dressing. Your body may feel relaxed, so move slowly to avoid dizziness or discomfort.
12. **Stay Hydrated**: Drink plenty of water after your massage to help flush out toxins and rehydrate your body.
13. **Rebooking**: If you enjoyed your massage, consider rebooking for another session or discuss a treatment plan with your therapist if you have specific goals.
Remember that massage therapy is a professional service aimed at promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and addressing specific health concerns. Following proper massage etiquette ensures a positive experience for both you and your therapist.
